Crew Chief / Office Technician
Location: Boise, Idaho
Position Overview:
Fox Land Surveys, Inc. is currently interviewing for a Crew Chief/Survey Technician to work both in the field and office. Our primary focus is providing for Clients in the Infrastructure and Commercial Industries. We primarily perform Boundary, Topographic and Control Surveys using current GPS, Robotic and AutoCAD Civil 3d 2018 while merging our Drone Surveys into the workflow.
Education and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of combined experience in Boundary, Topo, and Construction.
- Candidates with an LSIT and/or a CST certification are preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple daily projects and a dynamic work schedule.
- Strong communication, computer, and technical skills.
- Basic experience with AutoCAD Civil3d.
- Experience with Aerial Photography and Drone operations is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Function as a one or two-person crew.
- Provide mentorship to less experienced survey team members.
- Perform Field Surveys.
- Process the field data and review it with the PLS in charge.
- Prepare land descriptions.
- Perform basic boundary research and analysis.
- Represent yourself in a professional manner with our Clients and the general public.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly position with overtime paid for work beyond 40 hours in a week.
